Ramdara Temple Near Loni

I didn't know that just 33 kilometers from my home, there's a beautiful temple of Ram, Sita and Laxman, named Ramdara! I came to know about it when Megha read it in a local newspaper. My friend Pramod also showed it in another local newspaper. We later searched for it, and went there last Sunday. "Beauty" is the word for the place. There are tall coconut trees, huge rain trees that we call "kaurav-pandav", trees with tasty jaamun, pure neem trees, etc. There's a small lake also, but it smelled bad and was green by algae. However it made the scene more serene :) See the photos as follows…

Reaching there is super-easy. Here are the driving directions for reaching Ramdara Temple…
• Reach Loni on NH9 on Pune-Solapur national highway [see the map below to know where Loni is].
• Cross the bridge after Loni.
• Take immediate right turn after the bridge.
• Take the first right on a raw road.
• Drive about 6 kilometers to reach Ramdara Temple.

Following is the map showing Loni…

Sorry, I couldn't locate the temple on the map! But it's easy to reach once you reach Loni :)

  10. The colors are absolutely amazing. The temple looks like it is in the middle of a green oasis - I was surprised by your map that shows the area is quite populated.

  13. It's a lovely sight -- I hope the water will clear later. The heat and the small size conspire to make an "algal bloom" - our one small pond in town does likewise, looking like split pea soup but smelling awful.

  15. Indeed, it is a beautiful place. I really love the many colors. Too bad there isn't some way to rid the water of its foul smell! When I make it to India, Bhavesh, you must take me there!

In 1991 I was a young girl and visited ramdara and guruji shree dhundi baba for the first time he was the holiest man I ever saw his aura and shiva like purity made ramdara and babaji unforgettable. For 10 years I went there almost every week on my bike and those days were so blessed I left India in 2001 .i am in far away Canada but babajis spirit is always with me. I will never forget my ramdara days than you for the pictures and the memories.

I was in a very bad state when I visited Babaji after I lost my mother.
He changed my life. I will never forget the he changed my life with his blessings. I thing we will never meet such kind of person with holy powers. He predicted most of the things in my life and till date they are happening exactly the same way. its unfortunate that we lost you.
    we love you Babaji.
