Sunflower

Sunflower

Probably a few hundred thousand years ago, a flower decided that it needs to look different than any other flower, and be one of the most beautiful ones. It thought a lot and concluded that the almighty sun is the only source to do that. From that day, it has been looking at the sun! Its decision was correct.

Enjoy the beauty of the yellows in greens.

  6. I love the sunflower. It is such a brave and happy plant! I especially love how your photograph captured the precision of the "Fibonacci Sequence" in the flower's center.

  15. Lovely shots... I remember once in my college first year in geometry classes, my teacher got this extremely zoomed in close up of the sunflower pollen to describe the geometry in nature... :)

  24. Co-incidence..First myna and now sunflower.
I found sunflowers and have clicked them during one of my road trips that happened last week..

Your pictures are neat, such details. Are you professional photographer?

  25. Oh, fascinating and lovely. You know the sunflower is actually a composite of thousands of flowers -- all the tiny buds you show are actually individual flowers. They join together to form that huge gorgeous head and have better luck attracting the pollinators.

I've never seen one so close before.
